A home inspector since 1993.
Charlie is considered one of the leaders in the home inspection profession.  He is currently serving as the President of the Illinois Association of Home Inspectors (IAHI) and has also served as an officer, and director, of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). He is the principle of Home Inspection University of Illinois and shares his experience for new and existing home inspectors through pre-licensing and continuing education classes licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR).  He served as a firefighter and paramedic from 1980 to 2018. He is now retired from the fire-fighting profession.  He has done many things that most people couldn’t.  Everything from delivering babies to to pulling people out of buildings.  He has a sincere desire to help other people.  He loves the home inspection business because this allows him to continue to follow his passion.  You will hear him say often that human basic needs are food, water, and shelter.  Housing falls under shelter and buying a home has some big risks involved.  When you surround yourself with some of the professionals in the business, you greatly reduce those risks.  He preaches constantly that the more knowledge we have equals the more value we deliver.  He constantly thrives to increase his knowledge and consistently shares that knowledge with others across the nation.  He has been invited to speak at national conferences and is considered an expert in the home inspection field.  His passion for helping others is easily recognized.  He believes that reputation is the most important thing that any professional can have and takes his very seriously.  When he decided to expand this business, he looked for the attitude of helping others.  He figured he can spend the time and energy to get those that he recruited the experience and knowledge they need to do this job correctly.  Charlie says “you just can’t teach empathy”. He trust each and every other inspector who works under his name.  Real estate is about building relationships of trust.  Doing the right thing, at the right time, the right way, and for the right reason is the true secret to building that relationship.  He makes it very clear that he wants this business to most valuable business in the Chicagoland real estate market.
